Recommendations before removing stretch marks with the Candela CO2Re fractional laser

  • We recommend avoiding direct sunlight or ultraviolet rays in the area to be treated at least 2 weeks before the procedure;
  • At least 1 week before the procedure, it is necessary to stop the use of blood-thinning medications (anticoagulants);
  • At least 1-2 weeks before the procedure, avoid acidic procedures, cosmetics that may contain retinol, glycol, etc. acids and skin scrubs;
  • At least 1-2 weeks before the procedure, do not perform a wax or laser hair removal procedure (in the procedure area);
  • A few days before the procedure, inform your doctor if you are taking the following medications: retinoids, photosensitizers, naproxen, antirheumatic drugs, estrogens, progestins (oral contraceptives), chloroquine (antimalarial drugs), etc.
